What the studio teaches

Most of what happens here is pilates and yoga, with a clear emphasis on the core. Core and pelvic floor classes make up about half of the timetable, and strong, pilates-based sessions take up roughly a third. Reformer classes sit alongside pilates I and II, and the intro to pilates is a natural first step.

The yoga side is more varied. Vinyasa and intermediate core vinyasa run through the stronger classes, while hatha, gentle flow and chair yoga offer slower options. Back care and joint mobility classes appear in smaller numbers, along with a few mobility and stretch sessions.

How the week runs

The studio keeps much of its timetable in the morning, when more than half of the classes begin. Weekend classes take up about a third of the week, and Saturday, Tuesday and Monday are when the schedule gathers most. Classes typically last an hour, with a few longer flow and core sessions at 75 minutes.

Facilitators such as Melissa Boyd, Pelin Korkut and Lauryn Vacey lead many of the classes, and the team of about ten facilitators gives the studio a consistent feel from one class to the next.
