In Zenko Yoga Noosa’s words
Yoga was always intended as a complete and interconnected system, yet it can often feel like a vast collection of separate practices, philosophies and techniques - pieces selected from a menu without a clear understanding of how they fit together. The breadth of yoga can be both inspiring and intimidating. There is so much to learn, and without the right context, even valuable teachings can become fragmented. Making Sense of It All is an opportunity to step back and see the bigger picture while fine tuning the details.. Across four hours, we’ll explore how asana, pranayama and meditation work together, supported by the philosophy and Vedic systems that give them context, meaning and purpose. We’ll first establish a coherent understanding of how yoga works as a system, before moving into how these principles can actually be embodied through practice and integrated into daily life. A central theme will be intention. What are we actually doing when we practise yoga? What are we cultivating? And how do we reconcile yoga’s broader intentions with our own? With a consolidated understanding of the philosophy, our practices can become more purposeful, effective and simple. The aim isn't to make yoga more complicated by adding more information. It is to bring clarity to what is already there. Through clear philosophical teaching, asana, pranayama, meditation and discussion, Nicky will connect the seemingly separate parts of yoga so you can understand not only what you are doing, but why it works and how the pieces support one another. This workshop is for yoga teachers and enthusiastic students, regardless of experience. Technique matters, but so do attitude, attention, intention and understanding. You’ll leave with a clearer view of the whole system — and a more refined understanding of the details that make your own practice meaningful. Less fragmentation. More clarity. A deeper understanding of how yoga works as a whole.
