Reformer Pilates and yoga
Reformer Pilates is the core of the timetable at FLO Newport, offered at beginner and intermediate levels as well as a stronger version. Most of these classes focus on the core and pelvic floor, so they suit people who want a disciplined, muscle-led practice. Alongside them, the yoga side is built around Hatha, Gentle Flow and Simple Stretch sessions, with Yin and Candlelit Yin Yoga for slower practice.
If you are new to either side, start with a beginner-level reformer class or a Gentle Flow session. The studio lists several options open to people taking a first class ever, so you can build up at your own pace.
When to practice
The studio's timetable starts early, with the first class at 6:15am and a strong run of sessions before 9am. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday are the busiest days. Later in the day, the classes that draw the most people start around 4:30pm and 5:30pm, and a few evening sessions run until 6:30pm.
Most classes are 45 minutes long, so they fit easily around a working day. The yin sessions are longer at 60 minutes, and Candlelit Yin Yoga runs a shorter 45.
