About The Wellness Hub

The Wellness Hub sits on Victoria Road in Drummoyne, a neighborhood on Sydney's inner west. The studio is built around reformer Pilates, with core and pelvic floor work running through most classes, and its yoga classes move from slow and grounding to flowing. Early starts are common here, with the first class at 6:15am.

It suits you if

  • you want reformer Pilates close to home
  • you like early morning practice before the day begins
  • you prefer slow, grounded yoga over fast-paced flow

Pilates on the reformer

Reformer Pilates is the core of the timetable at The Wellness Hub. Classes run 45 minutes and combine contemporary Pilates movements on the reformer machine, suitable for everyone from complete beginners to intermediate students. Reformer Strong and Reformer JUMP add strength and a cardio element to the same machine work, and grip socks are needed for these.

The studio also offers Pilates on the mat, and Pilates classes for teens.

Yoga from slow to flowing

Yoga here moves from slow to energising. Yoga Slow & Aligned is about slowing down and building strength, flexibility and mobility, while Yoga Slow Flow sits between slow and flow, linking breath with movement. Yoga Flow is the more dynamic style, moving at a faster pace. Yoga Quiet & Calm is a restful, low-to-the-ground practice for deep relaxation.

Whether you come for the early start or the evening, you can choose a practice to match your energy that day.

The Wellness Hub: questions and answers

What kinds of classes does The Wellness Hub offer?

Most of the classes here are Pilates, with a strong lean toward reformer work on the reformer machine. Yoga is also part of the timetable, with slow, flowing and calm styles, and the Wellness Hub also runs classes for teens.

Is it suitable for beginners?

Reformer Pilates is listed for beginners through to intermediate students, and its movements suit people who are new to the machine. Yoga Slow & Aligned and Yoga Quiet & Calm are the calmest yoga options, so they are a gentle place to begin.

When do classes start and how long are they?

Classes usually run 45 minutes. The first class of the day starts at 6:15am, and the last one begins at 7:15pm. Most classes start in the morning, and the busiest start times are noon, 7:05am, 6:15am and 7:15pm.

Which days and times do most people practice?

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are the busiest days for classes at the Wellness Hub. Morning classes make up about half of the timetable, so early starts are a regular part of the week here.

Who leads the classes?

Jenni L, Sophie P, Kristy L and Chau N lead the most classes at The Wellness Hub. The studio has a small team of facilitators, so you will often see the same faces across the week.

Are there classes for teenagers?

Yes, there are teen classes in Reformer and Mat Pilates, designed to build strength and confidence in a fun and engaging way. They are offered alongside the adult timetable.
