About Aerial Silk Vienna

Aerial Silk Vienna is a studio for aerial work in the Katastralgemeinde Neubau, built around the long vertical silk, a tradition the studio calls its favorite apparatus. Classes also use the trapeze, hoop, rope and cube, and the studio describes itself as the largest school for aerial acrobatics in Austria. Practice here is open to everybody, with classes that move at each person's own pace and without performance pressure.

It suits you if

  • you want to try aerial silk or rope

What the studio teaches

Most classes are strength-based aerial work, with balance and flow classes alongside. Many students come to learn the vertical silk, and the studio also teaches the hoop, rope and other apparatus.

Classes are organized by level. Beginner classes such as rope taster and rope beginner suit people new to the air, and intermediate and advanced flow classes build on what has already been learned.

Who it suits and how to start

The studio says it welcomes people of any gender, age, body shape, weight, background or experience, and it describes its classes as safe spaces where each person can explore without pressure. Classes are not divided into special groups.

The studio also offers its own introductory sessions, workshops, shows, and a workshop with a visiting aerialist. A first visit is a good way to see whether the work suits you.
