What the classes are
Pilates is the core of the timetable, and almost all of it happens on the Reformer. The classes range from Power Reformer, with heavier springs and lower reps, to Dynamic Reformer, which is faster and built on high reps and fluid movement. Strength Lab uses the Reformer together with weights and props for a longer session of guided strength work, and Power + Jumpboard Reformer adds jumps to the strength-based sequence.
For people who want something gentler or more structured, Strong for Life is a small-group Reformer and strength program for people 60 and over, run as a closed group over eight weeks. Classes marked for beginners or for a first class ever give a way in without prior experience.
How the week runs
Classes start as early as 7am, and about a third of them fall in the morning, with a fifth before 9am. The evening is busier still, with about half of the timetable between 5pm and 7:30pm. Midday classes are fewer. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday carry the most classes, and weekend sessions make up about a fifth of the schedule.
Most classes last 50 minutes, which leaves room to arrive, settle and walk out without rushing. Grip socks are required for almost every class, so it is worth buying a pair at reception or through Eversports before a first visit.
