What the classes are
Classes at The COI Vienna are mostly functional group training, built around changing exercises done at high intensity. Strength classes focus on squats, deadlifts and shoulder presses, while gymnastics classes work on handstands, pull-ups, dips and L-sits. Yoga is part of the mix, combining balance, strength and flexibility with the breath, and the flows are designed differently each time.
The studio also runs classes for parents. Mom Classes and Mom & Dad Classes are led by Tanja from Strong for Life, and they adjust the training to pregnancy and the postnatal period.
How the week runs
Most classes run in the morning, and about a third fall in the evening. The earliest starts are at 6:30am and the latest at 8pm. Monday, Thursday and Friday carry the most classes, with the busiest start times around 5pm, 6pm, 7pm and 11:30am.
The studio is organized by a small team of facilitators, including Alberto, Michael, Clara, Marcus and Helena, who lead most of the group classes. Sessions are usually an hour long.

Is there yoga at The COI Vienna?
Yoga is one of the practices here, and the classes combine balance, strength and flexibility with the breath. The flows change from one session to the next, and the classes are open to everyone. Are there classes for pregnant people or new parents?
The studio offers classes for postnatal parents, including a Rückbildungskurs and Mom & Dad Classes for people after birth. Mom Classes are for pregnant people and mothers, and a Mom Class without children is held when enough participants book, with at least five needed to run. Postnatal classes are a small part of the schedule.
What should a beginner try first?
Fundamentals is described as a class for returning and new members, built on basic movement patterns, positional work and interval training. The Strength classes are open to all levels and focus on the big lifts. Yoga and Fundamentals are the most gentle places to begin.
