In Bluebird Sky Yoga’s words
Mysore style Ashtanga is the traditional way to learn Ashtanga Yoga. Mysore is a self-practice for very beginners through advanced students, allowing practitioners individual work with a teacher in a group setting. Rather than the teacher leading students through postures together, each student practices a set sequence of postures at their own pace. All levels are welcome from beginners to advanced practitioners looking to deepen their understanding of the practice. The practice is designed to help you progress steadily as you repeatedly practice the same postures. Over time with consistent practice, you’ll become stronger and more flexible, while improving your focus, discipline, and balance. Weekly Schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays: Assists 6:30-8:30am (Doors open 6:15am-9am) Sundays: 8-9:30 am (Doors open 7:45 am-9:45 am) Now Saturdays: 8-9:30 am (Doors open 7:45am-9:45am) We strongly encourage students who are new to Mysore Ashtanga to first take an Intro to Mysore Workshop (offered 3-4 times per year) or take at least 4 sessions of Ashtanga Led Full Primary class (Fridays 6:45am-8am). If these options are not available or do not work for your schedule, we ask the student commit to attending Mysore Ashtanga classes for at least 4 weeks (2-3 days per week). Please read the full Mysore Ashtanga description (www.bluebirdskyyoga.com/mysore-ashtanga) before coming to your first class and email mysore@bluebirdskyyoga.com if you have any questions. _______________
