Pilates and hot strength
Pilates is the backbone of this collection. At ONA STUDIO in Cinq Cantons, sculpt sessions on the mat and on the reformer sit alongside hot versions that add cardio. L'atelier Pilates in Anglet builds from intermediate exercise sequences into an advanced class where the work is fluid, controlled and sustained across the whole body.
The hot classes take the heat further. YOGA BIKRAM in Seignosse runs a 90-minute hot flow, and ONA STUDIO includes hot vinyasa and hot stretching in its schedule. Yogamar Biarritz in the centre offers a power flow, and the yoga studio in Gu茅thary combines vinyasa with strengthening work.
When to practice
Most classes start in the morning or the evening. The busiest start times are 10am, 12:15pm, 6pm and 7:30pm, and Monday, Tuesday and Thursday carry the most classes. Weekend classes are few, so weekday timing matters most here.
Classes are usually about an hour long, with some hot sessions closer to 55 minutes. Wellpass and ClassPass both work for many of the classes, so it is worth checking the booking page for the one you want.
Strong and sweaty: questions and answers
What kinds of classes are in this collection?
Most of the strength-and-sweat classes here are Pilates, with reformer work, sculpt sessions and hot classes sitting alongside them. The rest is a mix of hot yoga, vinyasa and power flow. Some classes are labeled experienced, and a few are open to all levels.
Which studios should I look at first?
ONA STUDIO in Cinq Cantons runs many of the hot and sculpt classes, including Pilates sculpt, hot Pilates and cardio, and reformer sculpt. L'atelier Pilates in Anglet offers intermediate and advanced Pilates, including a reformer class limited to four people. YOGA BIKRAM in Seignosse teaches hot flow.
When do these classes run?
Classes start as early as 9am and as late as 7:30pm. The busiest start times are 7:30pm, 12:15pm, 6pm and 10am. Most of the week falls in the morning and the evening, and a smaller share sits at midday. Weekend classes are rare.
Can I use a pass, and how long are the classes?
Wellpass and ClassPass are both accepted at a number of these classes, and about half of them can be taken with one of the two. Most classes run about an hour, though some hot sessions are closer to 55 minutes and hot flow runs 90.
Is this collection suitable for beginners?
Many of the classes are labeled experienced, so check the level before booking if you are new to Pilates or hot practice. Classes marked all levels, and the vinyasa and flexibility sessions, are a gentler place to start.
