When classes run
The lizfit week is built around mornings. More than half of its classes begin before 9am, and the busiest start times are 6:30am, 7:30am and 6:15am. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday are the days when the most classes run. A handful of classes fall at midday and a few in the evening, with the latest start at 6pm.
About a fifth of the classes take place at weekends, so there is room to practice on Saturdays and Sundays as well as on weekdays.
Styles and who leads them
Yoga sits alongside a wide range of movement. Around one in ten classes is yoga, another one in ten is yin, and a further share are gentle classes. The rest cover mobility and stretch, strength, barre and flexibility, with spin, TRX and HIIT-style sessions such as Tabata and kick-based classes.
There is also a class for people aged 60 and over, the Senior Fit session, which runs as a walk-in with no reservation needed. The studio has about ten facilitators, and Liz Forkel, Kirsten Iafolla, Nancy Degnan, Katie Hennessy, Deanna Demers and Natasha Ruble lead the most classes. Classes are taught in English.
