What the classes are
Reformer is the style you will see most often at The Studio Portsmouth, with Pilates and strong classes close behind. Most sessions run about 50 minutes, and a number of reformer and Pilates classes stretch to 60 minutes. Alongside these, the studio teaches mat-based foundational strength, sculpt and strength work, and small group weight training.
The classes are grouped by level, from foundations and all-levels reformer flow through intermediate and advanced sessions. A few classes are marked for experienced practitioners, so it is easy to find a session that fits where you are.
How the week runs
More than half of the classes take place in the morning, and about a fifth start before 9am. Tuesday, Wednesday and Monday carry the most classes, and the busiest start times cluster between 8am and 11am. Evenings are lighter, with about one in ten classes in the evening and the latest start at 6:30pm.
Weekend classes make up about a fifth of the schedule, so a steady weekday rhythm is easy to keep. Classes at this studio are taught in English.
