What the studio offers

Pilates Plus is a Pilates studio at its core. Most classes are Pilates, and a smaller share focus on core and pelvic floor work or on the reformer. The example classes on the schedule are Pilates Plus Mixed Equipment, which runs about an hour, and Pilates Reformer Pelvic Floor Stability, which runs 50 minutes.

The studio's website says that Pilates can help with a range of concerns, including back and neck pain, muscle tension, balance, posture, joint discomfort, and pregnancy and postpartum care. It is worth discussing any specific concern with the studio before a first class.

How the week runs

The studio's day begins early. Most classes take place in the morning, and about a third start before 9am, with 8:30am the earliest start. Later in the day, the busiest start times are 4:30pm and 5pm. Midday has no classes, and evening and weekend options are fewer.

Facilitators Brittney, Rachel, Melissa and Sarah teach the most classes. The studio is run by its owner, Melissa Peda, who is also part of the teaching team. Group classes are kept small so each person has room for individual attention, and the studio also offers personal training designed around each client's goals.
