What the studio teaches

The studio's pages present a mix of practices. Hatha Yoga is the traditional form, and the studio's Hatha classes focus on balance for body, mind and spirit. Vinyasa and Flow Yoga link poses with flowing movement. Yin Yoga holds poses for longer, and the studio also offers a Yin class built around calm and nervous system regulation.

Aerial Yoga, with its fabric hanging just above the floor, is one of the studio's distinctive offerings. The studio also runs breathwork, sleep and release classes, and a prenatal class for expectant mothers.

How the schedule runs

Classes run most often in the evening, with a smaller share in the morning and at midday. Weekend classes are few. The studio lists about ten facilitators, and several of them lead a large share of the classes, including Beate, Brigitte, Sabine, Anna and Tina.

Most classes are 90 minutes long, with a 60-minute class occasionally on the schedule. Some Hatha classes are certified as health prevention courses by the German statutory health insurance system.

ÜberGlücklich: questions and answers

What kinds of yoga does ÜberGlücklich offer?

The studio's own pages list classes in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Aerial Yoga, along with prenatal classes and breathwork. Most classes run 90 minutes, and the Hatha and gentle classes are among the most common.

Are there beginner classes?

Yes. The studio lists a Hatha Beginner class and a class called Trau Dich! Hatha Yoga für Ungeübte, which is for people who are new to yoga or who want a gentler start. Both are described in German.

When do most classes take place?

Classes start as early as 10am and as late as 7:30pm. Most of the week falls in the evening, and Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are the busiest days. Weekend classes are rare.

Are classes available in English?

Many of the classes are described in German, and the studio's pages are in German as well. The listings do not show other languages.

What is aerial yoga here?

Aerial Yoga is practiced in a hanging fabric that sits just above the floor, so the body is supported and the poses feel lighter. The studio also offers Aerial Yin Yoga, where poses are held longer with the fabric for support.

What else does the studio offer besides classes?

The studio teaches Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga, prenatal yoga, aerial yoga and breathwork. It also runs teacher trainings in yoga and aerial yoga, and coaching in nutrition and life coaching.
