What the classes are

The studio's timetable is built around Hatha yoga, with dozens of classes across the week. Gentle versions such as Hatha Yoga sanft sit beside the more practiced Hatha Yoga fortgeschritten, and classes with a focus on breath, chakras and the back give different entry points. Vinyasa adds a more flowing and dynamic option.

The classes also include meditation, from Hatha trifes Meditation to Klangauszeit im Herbst, a sound bath with bowls led by Michael Dittmar. Sven, Iris, Antje, Katja, Kasia and Michael Dittmar are among the facilitators who lead most of the classes.

How the week runs

Evenings are the busiest part of the day, with about half of the classes starting then. Mornings make up about a fifth, and midday and weekend classes are rarer. Monday, Wednesday and Friday have the most classes, and the most common start times are 10am, 5:30pm, 6:30pm and 7:30pm. Classes begin no earlier than 9am and end as late as 8:30pm.

Classes typically last 90 minutes, which gives room for a full session. For a first visit, one of the gentler Hatha classes on an evening suits a slower start.
