What the classes are
Most of the classes at benefit body are built around Pilates, somatics, yoga and strength, and many sessions mix several of these in one hour. The studio's signature class, EMPOWER 50, is a 50 minute flow that brings these threads together for the whole body. The Method 50 focuses on reformer Pilates with slower transitions and deeper muscle engagement, while Vitality Flow is a yoga sculpt class that uses light weights and small props.
Classes usually last 50 minutes, with a 60 minute format on Saturdays and in special sessions like EMBODY 60, which is an intimate class combining somatics and full body reformer flow.
When and with whom to practice
The studio's schedule leans toward the morning, with the earliest class at 8:15am and busy slots at 9:15am and 10:15am. Evening classes run as late as 6:40pm, with a popular 5:30pm start. Thursday, Wednesday and Monday carry the most classes across the week.
Facilitators Steffani, Nikkita, Lauren and Airess lead the largest number of sessions, so you will often see the same familiar faces across the week.
