Pilates on the reformer and beyond

Pilates is the heart of the studio, and more than half of the classes are pilates, mostly on the reformer. The rest of the timetable adds barre, tower and chair work, and a few gentler sessions. The strongest focus is on the core and pelvic floor, and most classes are described as strong rather than gentle.

The levels are clearly split. Reformer level 1 is for beginners, level 2 for intermediate students and level 3 for advanced practitioners. Reformer power and tower and chair classes give more options for those who already know the basics.

Morning classes and courses for groups

Mornings are the studio's strongest time. More than half of the classes run before midday, with many starting at 6am and 9am. The evening sessions, around a fifth of the week, carry on until 8pm, and the weekends have fewer classes, with about one in ten falling on a weekend day.

The studio also runs courses for specific groups: a nine week teen course, a nine week course for men and a ten week mums and bubs course. These are good options for anyone who wants a structured start with a regular group.
