Use the breath to shift how you feel.
In Grass Roots Yoga + Pilates’s words
A woman’s transition into perimenopause, through menopause and beyond, is known as her ‘Second Spring’; in traditional Chinese medicine it is considered a new beginning. In this half day retreat, Menopause Yoga, Breath-work and Meditation facilitator Rachel Goldenberg, shares knowledge and practices that encourage women to recognise their bodies changing needs and to thrive in this next stage of life. We will explore the physical, psychological and spiritual changes many woman experience. We’ll explore practical ways to nurture energy, strength, mobility, heart and bone health, nervous system balance and emotional wellbeing and to manage many common symptoms. You’ll be guided through a range of practices including yoga, meditation, breath-work, myo-fascial release, and lymphatic self-massage, with tools to take away and incorporate into everyday life. We’ll also explore the less tangible side of this transition - identity, confidence, desire, purpose and the freedom that can emerge when we begin to work with our changing bodies. There will be time to pause, reflect and connect through a women’s circle, sharing experiences in a warm and supportive space. Together we may laugh, cry, honour the wisdom we hold and learn from one another. This workshop welcomes women and gender diverse people of all ages who are interested in understanding menopause. Menopause can affect people with a wide range of gender identities and bodies, and everyone’s experience is unique. For younger women who have not yet reached menopause, it offers an opportunity to understand the changes ahead, support their long-term health, and begin open, informed conversations with women who have gone before them. For older women, it is a chance to share experience, insight and wisdom with others, perhaps for the first time EARLY BIRD: Book before September 25th for $160 STANDARD: Book after September 25th- $180
