Olympia Gym is a studio on Biscayne Boulevard in Aventura, just north of Miami, where most of the timetable is built around strength, cardio and movement with a steady line of pilates and yoga. The day starts early here, with more than half of the classes running in the morning and the busiest starts at 9am and 10am. Sessions usually last an hour, which makes it easy to fit a practice into a working day.

What the week looks like
The timetable leans toward strength and energy. Body pump, strength and sculp, power core, HIIT and zumba make up much of the week, and core and pelvic floor work is part of the mix. A steady share of the classes is pilates, including mat pilates, and a smaller share is vinyasa yoga and flow.
Classes run mostly in the morning, with about a third in the evening and a few around midday. Weekend classes fill about a fifth of the schedule.
Classes, length and who leads them
Most sessions are an hour long, and vinyasa yoga runs a little longer at 75 minutes. None of the classes are sold as a pass, so each one is taken on its own.
The facilitators, who number about ten, keep the timetable steady. Silvina Canellas, Nancy Beron and Armando Salcedo teach a large share of the sessions, with Cristian Gaviria, Mary Grace Thibault and Walter Diaz close behind.

Is Olympia Gym good for beginners?
