The shape of the week
The studio's timetable centers on the evening. Most of its classes start in the late afternoon and early evening, with 6pm and 7pm among the busiest times. A smaller group begins early, from 8am, and about a fifth of the classes start before 9am, so the day can open with a practice.
The classes are built around vinyasa, the flowing style in which each movement follows a breath. Many also carry a focus. About half include core and pelvic floor work, and about half are described as strong and focused, while others aim for calm, release or a gentler pace.
Classes and the people who lead them
Active Flow Yoga is a dynamic practice, with flowing transitions and stabilizing postures that bring together strength, movement and breath. Slow Flow Yoga is quieter, with evenly flowing sequences meant to ease stress and help you return to your own rhythm. Morning Glow Yoga begins the day with an energizing practice, conscious breathing and a positive inner focus.
Each of these classes runs about an hour. Anita Carina leads more classes than any other facilitator, and the studio's small team of facilitators shares the rest of the schedule.
