What the classes are

Most of the schedule is reformer pilates, and the studio arranges it in steps. The beginner class teaches the basics of working on the reformer, with simple movements that work the whole body. Level 1 adds more complex sequences, and level 2 brings intense, flowing movement. The all levels class sits between beginner and level 1, for people who have already taken several beginner classes.

The jump class uses the same reformer work, with a jumpboard added for cardio. It is built as interval training, alternating strong reformer exercises with more dynamic movement. A small number of classes are postnatal, aimed at people returning to pilates after having a baby.

Studios and when to come

The Grünwald studio is at Rathausplatz 1, and the Giesing studio is at Konradinstraße 3. Each class has room for nine people, so the group stays small and the facilitator can see each person's position on the reformer. The studio describes a clean, warm space with a calm atmosphere.

Most classes run in the morning and early evening. Mornings are busy, with starts between 8am and 11am, and the evening starts reach as late as 8pm.
