your timeout is a small yoga and nervous system studio in Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn, a short ride south of Munich. Claudia works with people who find it hard to switch off, using somatic yoga and body-based nervous system coaching. The classes are slow, attentive and mostly held in the evening, so the day can end in a quieter way.
It suits you if
- you carry tension in the neck, shoulders or lower back
- you prefer slow, attentive movement to fast flows
- you come to practice after the working day

What is practiced here
Most of the classes at your timeout are yin or somatic yoga, and the names of the courses say what they are for. Healthy Back works on tension in the upper and lower back as well as in the mind, and Yoga from Yang to Yin moves from dynamic, breath-led sequences into long holds. A few classes, such as Aroma Yoga, are offered for a specific mood or season.
How the week runs
Most classes take place in the evening, with the earliest starts at 6:30pm and the latest at 8pm. Mornings and midday are not part of the regular timetable. Classes run as seven-class blocks, which lets you practice over several weeks, and as drop-ins for a single visit.
Your Timeout: questions and answers
When do most people practice at your timeout?
Most of the classes at your timeout are in the evening, and the busiest start times are between 6:30pm and 8pm. Classes run on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Many of them last 75 minutes, and a few longer sessions run for 90 minutes.
Is there a class for back tension?
Yes. Several of the regular courses are built for people with back pain or tension. Healthy Back is offered as a seven-class block and as a drop-in, and it works on strength in the back and shoulders as well as on tension in the body and mind. Claudia and Ariane lead most of the classes, so you can meet them early on.
What is somatic yin yoga like?
Somatic yin yoga moves very slowly, so you can notice how your body responds as you go. The practice is not a long, still hold: there is gentle movement throughout. Classes run as a seven-class block or as a drop-in, so you can try a single session before you commit.
Is your timeout good for beginners?
Yes. Most classes are open to all levels, and a seasonal substitute course is open to beginners too. The studio is in Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn, south of Munich, and offers both on-site classes and online coaching.
