What the classes are

Most of the classes in this collection are yoga, and nearly all are marked strong. Vinyasa is the most common style, appearing in about half of the classes, with flow and power yoga close behind. Coolum Beach Yoga describes its vinyasa as a moving meditation that creates strength, freedom and fluidity in the body and mind, and its power yoga flow follows the same idea at a more powerful pace.

Barre appears in about a fifth of the classes. Aloha Active's barre class combines the stretch of yoga, the strength of Pilates and the dance principles of ballet, using a full range of movement over 60 minutes.

When and where it runs

Nearly all classes begin before 9am. The earliest starts at 7am and the latest at 7:30am, which means most of the week begins with a practice. Thursday, Friday and Saturday carry the most classes, and about a third of the list falls on weekends.

Coolum Beach Yoga and Aloha Active have the most classes here, in Coolum Beach and Noosa Heads. Most classes last 60 minutes, which leaves time to get to work afterward.
