Deep rest in Stuttgart
Deep rest in Stuttgart is mostly an evening practice. Most of the classes are yoga, and many of them are yoga nidra or restorative, the forms that ask you to lie down, stay still and let the body settle. The spaces tend to be light-filled, often in lofts or a historic building, and the sessions are calm rather than demanding. Practicing here means choosing a class that lets you finish the working day slowly.

What the classes are
Yoga nidra is the thread that runs through this collection. In these classes a facilitator guides your attention from the outside in while you lie on the mat, and the practice is often described as a conscious kind of sleep. Restorative classes sit alongside it, using props and long, supported poses to let the body rest without effort. Some sessions add breathwork, meditation or the sound of gong and bowls.
Where to practice
Heaven‘s Healthy Hub in Neue Vorstadt has the most classes here, with evening sessions that begin with movement and move toward rest. Yoga West in Rotebühl, an Iyengar studio, offers a two-hour yoga nidra class. NAMOTOYOGA in Rosenberg combines yoga nidra with crystal bowls, and Yoga mit Isabell in Steinhaldenfeld mixes gentle flow with restorative holds. Each neighborhood has its own rhythm, so it helps to pick the studio that fits your route home.
