The Branches Yoga sits at 9 Samuel Street in Kitchener, a short distance from the Toronto area and a practice that leans toward strength as much as it does toward yoga. Its schedule spans early mornings and evenings, with most of the week shaped by the morning. The studio keeps a steady rhythm of strength, flow and restorative classes, each named for the way it moves.
It suits you if
- you want strength alongside yoga

Strength and gentle practice
The studio's classes are built around strength. Strength Training appears in two levels, A and B, and Strong classes make up about a third of the timetable alongside Strength itself. Classes like Conditioning and Core and Strength and Flow bring a steady, muscular pace, while Dynamic Flow and Flow and Restore give the movement more shape.
For a gentler counterpoint, Gentle classes take about a fifth of the schedule, with Slow Flow, Slow and Restore and Restorative offering a calmer, more sustained pace. Stretch and Centre and mobility work fill in the rest.
When classes run
Morning classes are the backbone of the week. Sunrise Flow and early starts from 6:30am give the day an unhurried beginning, and about half of all classes run in the morning. Mid-morning slots, especially around 9am and 10am, are among the most common start times, and Thursday, Monday and Friday are the busiest days.
Evenings are the second peak, with about a third of classes starting after work. The latest class begins at 7:45pm, and 7:30pm is a popular start time. Weekend classes make up about a fifth of the schedule.
