When and how the evening classes run
Nearly every class in this collection is an evening class, and none start before 9am or at midday. The earliest starts are at 5pm and the latest at 7:45pm, with 5pm, 6:30pm and 7:45pm as the busiest times. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday carry most of the week, while weekend classes are rare.
Most classes last around 50 minutes, though some, such as the 60-minute Restorative Yin at The Yoga Room, run a little longer. Yoga and meditation make up most of what is on offer, with restorative and yin styles filling about a fifth of the list. Sound is present too, through gong and bowl sessions and the occasional sound bath.
Where to go and who leads
The classes gather in a handful of studios, with De Moon Yoga in La Roqueta, The Yoga Room in Benimaclet and Yogabrú in El Cabanyal-El Canyamelar hosting the most. Each studio leans a little differently, from meditation and relaxation techniques at De Moon Yoga to singing bowls at Yogabrú and a women-only restorative class at The Yoga Room.
Most classes are taught in German, so this collection suits people who are comfortable in the language. Wellhub and ClassPass are both accepted for some classes, which can make it easier to try a few studios before settling on one.
