What the classes are
The classes at VIGOR Fitness - District Two are mostly built around strength and conditioning. Strength classes focus on structured, well-planned work rather than building competitive lifters, and conditioning sessions use a range of tools such as barbells and dumbbells to build endurance and muscular stamina. Team-based workouts and a sport-specific program called Strength For Endurance Sport complete the offer.
The studio also runs an experienced-level program called D2.Advanced, for members who want the sporting side of training to take the lead. The ATHX classes prepare members for a fitness event that tests strength, endurance and conditioning.
When and with whom
Morning is when the studio is most active. More than half of the classes take place in the morning, and about a third begin before 9am, with 6am being the earliest start. The busiest days are Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Evening classes make up about a fifth of the schedule and run as late as 8pm, while midday and weekend classes are fewer.
Facilitators Mara, Kiril, Peter, Michael, Georg, Dan, Berny and Christian lead most of the sessions, and each class lasts about an hour.
