duality yoga sits on Bagby Avenue in Woodway, a short way from Austin, and its classes are built around heat. Most of the timetable is hot yoga, and the room is designed for sweat and steady, strong flows. Alongside the hot classes you will find yin, Pilates and mobility work, so a visit can be as intense or as slow as you choose.

What the classes are like
The heart of the studio is hot yoga, with sweat and strength at the center of most classes. Hot Vin, Hot Honey Flow, Hot Power Flow and Hot 26 run the full hour, while the express versions give you a 45-minute version of the same practice. Hot Mobility Flow and Yoga Sculpt sit at the lighter, more targeted end of the range.
The quieter side of the timetable includes Yin, Slow Flow and Restore, which slow the pace and give more time to hold and breathe. Pilates and Core and pelvic floor classes give a different focus on the body.
Who leads and when
The studio has about ten facilitators, and Amanda McDonald-Goins, Brooke Ashcraft, Cori Hunt and Arielle Henry lead the most classes. Classes are taught in English, and the timetable runs across the week with weekends carrying about a fifth of the classes.
For a first visit, a 60-minute hot class or a Slow Flow session gives a clear sense of the space. Those who prefer to start earlier in the day will find plenty of morning options, especially around 8:30am.
Duality Yoga: questions and answers
What kind of yoga is taught here?
Hot yoga is the most common style at duality yoga, and most classes are heated. Sweat and strength are the words people tend to use for the energy of the room. Hot Vin, Hot Honey Flow and Hot Power Flow are among the classes that run the full hour.
When do most people practice at duality yoga?
Classes start as early as 6am and run as late as 6pm. About a third of the classes take place in the morning, and a fifth start before 9am. The busiest start times are noon, 8:30am, 4:30pm and 5:30pm, and the busiest days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Are there gentler classes for a slower pace?
Yes. Slow Flow, Yin and Restore classes sit alongside the hot and power classes, and Gentle and Calm classes are on the timetable too. Intermediate Hot Honey Flow shows that some classes are built for practitioners who already have some experience.
What else can I try besides hot yoga?
The studio offers hot yoga, yin, Pilates, yoga sculpt and a mobility flow, so there is room to move between styles. Hot PiYo, which fuses Pilates and yoga, gives a different feel from a straight hot flow. Classes are mostly 60 minutes, with 45-minute express options.
