TheStillPlace is a studio in Waco, a short way from Austin, where Pilates and yoga make up most of the practice. The classes are built around clear movement, with many aimed at people trying Pilates or yoga for the first time. The room is a place to slow down and work through a steady hour of sequenced movement.

Pilates, yoga and the mix between them
Pilates leads the timetable, with more than half of the classes. Beginner Pilates, PM Pilates and a seasonal Halloween Pilates session all sit under this practice. Yoga follows, with Yoga Flow, Calm Stretch Yoga and Hangover Yoga among the classes.
Many sessions are marked for mobility, stretch and core work, and a smaller group leans toward strength and flexibility. Stretch and Tone with Izzy is one of the classes that combines these themes.
How the week is shaped
The week leans toward the morning and the weekend. More than half of the classes start before noon, and more than half take place on weekends. Sunday, Tuesday and Saturday carry the most classes, and 8am, 10am and 11am are the starts people choose most often.
The evening schedule holds about a third of the classes, with 6pm as the busiest evening start and PM Pilates later in the day. Most classes run for an hour, so a session fits easily between other commitments.
