About Yoga8 LLC

yoga8 sits at 5100 Franklin Avenue in Waco, and its practice centers on heated sessions. Hot yoga and sweat-driven classes make up about half of the lineup, with vinyasa, alignment-based work and a few strength sessions alongside. Most classes start in the morning, so the studio suits people who like to practice before the day begins.

Hot yoga and sweat-driven classes

Hot yoga is the main thread here, and about half of the classes are heated. The names show the range: HOT Sculpt, HOT Vinyasa, HOT Align and HOT Unwind all use heat, while Vinyasa, Align and Unwind run in the standard room. Tai Chi appears as a single sessions in the lineup, which gives the studio a slower counterpoint.

Strength and sweat classes make up a clear share of the schedule, so the studio leans toward a more physical practice than a purely restorative one. Yoga and flow sessions fill the remaining space, and a few classes are marked for experienced practitioners.

When classes run

The morning is where most of the action is. More than half of the classes begin before noon, and about a third start before 9am. The 8:30am and 9:45am slots are among the busiest start times, followed by 10:30am. Evenings are lighter, with about a fifth of classes taking place after 5pm and the 6:15pm start being the busiest of those.

Monday, Tuesday and Saturday are the days with the most sessions. Midday is quieter, so a visitor with a flexible lunch break will have fewer options than in the morning.

Yoga8 LLC: questions and answers

What kind of classes does yoga8 offer?

Most of the classes here are hot yoga, and about half of the lineup is sweat-focused. Vinyasa, alignment-based sessions and a few strength classes fill out the rest, so a visitor can choose between a heated, sweaty session and something more measured.

When do most classes start?

More than half of the classes start in the morning, and about a third begin before 9am. The earliest start is 5:15am, and the busiest start times are 8:30am, 9:45am and 10:30am. The latest class begins at 6:30pm.

How long are the classes?

Most sessions run 60 minutes, and some of the lineup is shorter. HOT Sculpt runs 50 minutes, and the Express versions of HOT Align and Unwind run 45 minutes.

Which days are busiest?

Monday, Tuesday and Saturday are the busiest days on the schedule. Weekend classes make up about a fifth of the lineup, so there is room to practice on Saturday as well as on weekdays.

Is yoga8 suited to beginners?

Several classes are labeled for experienced practitioners or for Vinyasa Level 2-3, so the studio offers more than one entry point. Visitors who are new to hot or vinyasa practice may want to look for the Unwind and Align sessions, which run at a steadier pace.

Who leads the classes?

Yoga8 is a studio in Waco with a couple of dozen facilitators. Kim Damm, Alex Sanchez and Whitney McHenry teach among the most classes, and Nicky Connell, Melissa O”hare and Roxanne Glaser also lead a regular part of the schedule.
