charly & franz is a small studio in Berlin where most of the classes focus on the body after pregnancy and birth. The timetable is built around the daytime, with strength, core and pelvic floor work at the center, and a relaxed breakfast morning for families with babies and toddlers. The practice is grounded and specific, and the facilitators get to know the people who come back each week.
It suits you if
- you are returning to movement after birth

What the studio offers
charly & franz offers a focused set of classes, most of them in the middle of the day. Rückbildungsgymnastik is reinterpreted here as strength work that builds body awareness, not as a short list of exercises. Nine months of pregnancy and birth change the body a great deal, and the classes take that as their starting point.
The sessions usually last an hour. Most of the timetable is strength, core and pelvic floor work, with a smaller share of classes that feel more energetic. The studio does not run evening classes, so the day suits people with a flexible morning or a midday break.
Who leads and how it runs
Sonja and Anja lead the largest share of classes, and the wider team is small enough that you can expect continuity. Classes are in German. Voll & Gut is the exception in length: it runs for three hours, with breakfast, an open exchange between parents, and time for questions about family life.
The studio sits at Charlottenstraße 73 in Potsdam, not in Berlin itself, so it is worth checking the route before a first visit. The space is a place to return to again and again rather than a one-off session.
