We have a special guest joining Merry's Restorative class! Please join multi-instrumentalist/composer Daniel de Lorimier, for a beautiful sacred sound experience. As you settle into nourishing, restorative postures, you’ll be immersed in the healing sounds of Sitar - creating a meditative journey for both body and mind. The Raga music performed in traditional sitar dates back thousands of years to ancient India, when great sages developed timeless melodies through spiritual discipline and union with nature. A Raga is essentially a musical deity that takes the form of sound. This soundscape has tremendous healing and transformative power. We recommend registering early to save your spot - space is limited. Restorative Yoga is a relaxing and transformative experience allowing the body to achieve deep rest in a peaceful candle & starlit setting. This class is wonderful for regulating and healing your nervous system. Students will spend the class in comfortable reclined or seated positions, with the support of props, and minimal movement throughout. The use of props to support the body, allows you to fully relax into postures which facilitates a deeper experience. We kindly ask that you bring your own mat, as we have only a few available to borrow. You'll find bolsters, blankets, and straps in the studio for you to use, but if you feel more comfortable with your own props, you're more than welcome to bring them from home. Please note: This class may include a soft starlight projection to create a peaceful, immersive atmosphere. We recognize that some individuals are sensitive to this type of lighting. Complimentary eye masks are available for your comfort, or please feel free to speak with our front desk if you have any questions before class.
