The shape of the week at feel good factory
The studio is run by a team of about ten facilitators, and the classes are led by a few of them more often than others: Elena, Helen, Alina, Lea and Mo. The schedule is built around evenings, and the busiest start times come in the late afternoon and early evening.
About a third of the classes focus on flexibility, and the studio's flexibility sessions are described as sessions that go beyond ordinary stretching. Flexibility for Inflexible is open to every level and gives time to the exercises for people who think of themselves as stiff.
Pole, choreography and rhythm
Pole work is central here. Static Shapes & Dynamics works only on the static pole and focuses on shapes, balances and transitions. Exotic Metal Style builds a six-week choreography to heavy guitar riffs and rhythmic drum beats, and Exotic Choreo: Old School keeps the lower part of the pole and lets each move show the lines and curves of the body.
Hard Style Choreo is the most energetic option on the list, a 90-minute session with strong accents and a warm-up that leads straight into the music. Poleparty, at 91 minutes, is the longest class.
FEEL GOOD FACTORY: Pole • Stretch • Fly: questions and answers
When do most people practice here?
Most of the classes at feel good factory run in the evening. Classes start as early as 2pm, but the busiest start times are 2pm, 5pm, 5:30pm and 8:10pm, and nearly all of the timetable falls after work. Friday, Monday and Thursday are the busiest days.
Is it good for beginners?
Yes. Several of the classes are described as suitable for all levels, and the flexibility sessions are built for people who call themselves inflexible. Exotic Choreo: Old School and Hard Style Choreo are more demanding, so starting with a flexibility or stretch class is a calm way in.
What kinds of classes does feel good factory offer?
Almost every class is a mobility and stretch practice, and about a third focus on flexibility, especially splits and backbends. Pilates and yoga appear in a smaller share of classes, and a few are built around hips or a strong, powerful feel. Pole classes such as Static Shapes & Dynamics and the exotic choreography styles are also part of the mix.
How long are the classes?
Most classes last 70 minutes, and a few run longer. The Poleparty is the longest on the list at 91 minutes, and the Hard Style Choreo special runs 90 minutes.
Where is feel good factory and what language are the classes in?
The studio sits at Holsteinischer Kamp 37 in Barmbek-Süd, a neighborhood in the east of Hamburg. Its classes are taught mostly in German, and the studio describes its space and its facilitators on its own website.
