IN STUDIO #2 Leveraging modern breathwork and ancient pranayama techniques, this session is meant to provide a safe space to heal and feel through our most powerful tool, our breath. Each week, we focus on a different intention (e.g. self-love, release, fluidity, etc.) that may be chosen based on the time of year, astrological date, etc. Breathwork techniques are queued based on the rhythm of the music, which is a unique playlist curated based off of the intention and flow. Guided by certified breathwork and sound healer, Kirsten Fargas starts off with a 35-40 minute breathwork session that takes you on a journey to work through deep emotions and promote nervous system rebalancing. Then, we integrate our practice and end with a soothing sound bath. Open to all! Accessible for those new to breathwork, and those who are Deaf/hard-of-hearing. Why Alkalize? When we practice upregulating breathwork techniques, we're safely and intentionally decreasing CO2 in our blood stream, aka alkalizing. This practice activates the sympathetic nervous system, which–when guided and in a safe container–can help foster mind-body connection and deep spiritual work. This word was chosen to highlight the fact that we are in control of our physical bodies, as well as our mindset. Note that we also make sure to deactivate the sympathetic nervous system (we don't leave you there!). At the end of the session, we make sure to regulate and ground by activating the parasympathetic nervous system and slowing down our heart rate.  BREATHWORK • DEEP MEDITATION • SOUND HEALING • SOUND BATH • SOMATIC RELEASE
