In Yoga Nest Venice’s words
A Slow Flow to Yin Yoga class is a grounding, balanced practice that blends gentle movement with deep stillness, guiding students from fluid, breath-led sequences into longer, restorative-style holds. The class typically begins with centering and breath awareness, helping students transition from the outside world into their bodies. From there, a slow vinyasa-style flow warms the muscles and lubricates the joints through mindful, unhurried movement. Postures are linked with breath, but transitions are spacious and intentional rather than fast or athletic. As the body becomes warm and open, the practice gradually shifts into Yin Yoga, where poses are held for longer periods—often 3–5 minutes or more. These longer holds target deeper connective tissues like fascia, ligaments, and joints while encouraging mental stillness and nervous system regulation.
