What the classes are
The studio's classes are built around the reformer, a sliding carriage with springs and straps that adds resistance and support to each movement. Nearly all the classes are Pilates, and the names show the range: Basic Reformer, Intermediate Reformer, Advanced Reformer, Stretch & Release Reformer and Abs, Butts & Thighs. Cardio Jump and the men's athletic reformer class bring more energy to the timetable.
Levels are clearly marked. First class ever and all levels are the most accessible options, and experienced classes sit at the other end. A few mobility and stretch classes give a gentler session for days when the body wants something slower.
When classes run
The studio is busiest early in the day. Most classes run in the morning, and about a third begin before 9am, with 7am, 8am, 9am and 10am the most common starts. Weekend classes make up about a fifth of the week, and Friday, Tuesday and Saturday are the busiest days. Evening classes are fewer, with the latest start at 7pm.
The earliest class begins at 5:30am, which suits people who want to practice before work. Classes are usually 50 minutes long, so a session fits easily into a morning or lunch break.
