What the studio teaches
Dance is the main thread at motion grounds. Jazz, hip hop, tap, ballet and contemporary each appear at beginner level, and several have intermediate or advanced options as well. Heels and jazz funk add a more playful, performance-oriented side to the timetable.
A separate group of classes focuses on barre, mat pilates and sessions for the hips and the core and pelvic floor. These run at a slower pace and suit anyone who wants to build strength and control without a choreographed routine.
How the week runs
Most classes take place in the morning and the evening, with about a fifth beginning before 9am. The earliest start is at 8am and the latest at 7:45pm. The busiest start times are 8:30am, 9:30am, 6:30pm and 7:45pm.
Weekends are quieter, with about one class in ten taking place then. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday carry the most sessions, so those are the days with the widest choice.
