Body Lounge sits by Schwedenplatz in the Innere Stadt, a short walk from the Danube canal. The studio is built around movement that works with the muscles directly: Pilates, barre, mobility stretching and classes that add red or infrared light. Many sessions run in the evening, which suits people who want to practice after work.

Pilates, barre and core work
Most of what Body Lounge teaches comes from Pilates and barre. Pilates classes build strength through the core, pelvic floor and back, and the studio offers both a classic version and a session with infrared light. Barre combines work at the ballet barre with floor exercises, using light weights and a Pilates ring.
Mobility and stretching
A good share of the timetable is given to mobility and flexibility. Body Mobility is a movement-based way of stretching that uses the muscles to create the stretch rather than holding a position. Dynamic stretching with infrared and the yoga stretching class with red light both suit people who want to feel more flexible and connected to their bodies, and no prior knowledge is needed.
When classes run
Classes are concentrated in the late afternoon and evening, and the busiest start times fall between 5pm and 6:30pm. A smaller number of sessions start late in the morning, with the earliest at 11:30am. The studio runs mainly on weekdays, with Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the busiest days.
