What the studio practices
The studio's classes center on yoga, and more than half of what it offers falls under that practice. Vinyasa is the most common style, followed by a range of flow classes, from the energetic vinyasa & beats to the gentle fluid & gentle and flow & recharge. Alongside them sit pilates & control and core & balance for strength and stability, and strength & mobility for hips, shoulders and the spine.
The classes carry names that describe their feel, such as effort & ease, which draws on the yoga sutras, and breath & flow, which blends asanas with kundalini breathwork. Most people come for the flowing classes, but the studio gives plenty of room to slower, more precise work.
How the week runs
The studio's day begins early, with vinyasa & sunrise at 6am, and many classes run through the morning and into the evening. Mornings and evenings each account for about a third of the week, while midday and weekend classes are fewer. The busiest start times fall at 9am, 4:30pm, 5:30pm and 7pm, and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday see the most classes.
Most classes last 60 minutes, and prenatal & flow runs a little longer at 90 minutes. Nearly all are open to all levels, and the studio's facilitators lead a varied timetable across the week.
