Where and when practice happens

The studio is in Neustadt/Süd, on Luxemburger Straße. The classes are taught by about ten facilitators, and Nadine, Corinna, Vanessa F., Avi, Vanessa, Theresa, Jana, Meryl, Laura and Inken teach the most classes.

Most of the schedule is evening yoga and Pilates, with the busiest times around 6pm to 7:30pm. A smaller number of classes start in the morning, and a fifth of the classes take place on weekends.

Styles and what they focus on

Vinyasa is the most common style, with flowing sequences that build strength and flexibility. Strong Flow and Morning Vinyasa offer a more powerful or energizing start to the day, while the Pilates classes focus on core and pelvic floor strength with controlled movement.

For quieter practice, the studio offers Yin, restorative and breathwork classes. Several of these work with the nervous system and invite a slower pace.

50:70 studio: questions and answers

Is 50:70 suitable for beginners?

Yes. Most of the classes at 50:70 are open to all levels, and the open yoga classes adjust to your own pace. There is also a Yoga Basics class aimed especially at beginners, and a Level 2-3 class for people with a solid foundation.

When do most people practice here?

Most classes run in the evening, and the busiest start times are around 5:30pm to 7:35pm. Morning classes make up about a fifth of the schedule, with the earliest start at 7:30am, and weekend classes are about a fifth as well. Tuesday, Sunday and Monday are the busiest days.

What kinds of classes does the studio offer?

Yoga is the core of the schedule, with Vinyasa making up more than half of the classes. Pilates appears in several forms, including a Pilates Technik Lab, and there are also Yin, restorative and breathwork classes. A few classes focus on mobility and stretch.

How long are the classes, and what should I bring?

Most classes last about 50 to 70 minutes, and the typical class is an hour long. Pilates and Vinyasa sessions are usually 50 minutes, while the longer Yin and Yoga classes run 70 minutes. You can bring your own mat, or borrow a high quality one at the studio for 2 euros.

Which classes are calmer?

Yes, you can take Yin, a slow practice of long holds, or the gentler THE RESET class, which works with the nervous system. FLOW & RELEASE moves from a dynamic flow into long Yin holds, so it suits a day when you want both energy and calm.
