What the classes are

Most of the timetable is yoga, with a clear focus on evening sessions. Flow Yoga and Vinyasa bring movement and some heat, while Slow Flow and Hatha Yoga take a more measured pace, linking held postures with breath. Yin Yoga invites longer holds and a quieter, more inward practice.

The studio also offers classes built around the body itself. Faszien Yoga works on tight or underused areas of the body, and Yogalates combines Pilates-style strengthening with the flowing breath of yoga.

How the week is shaped

Classes run most often in the evening, with start times between 5:30pm and 7:15pm. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday are the busiest days. A few classes begin in the morning, including Morning Yoga, which is designed to wake the body and prepare for the day, and the earliest start is at 10am.

Each class lasts 75 minutes, with the Yoga gegen Stress session stretching to 150 minutes. The studio's team of about ten facilitators, led by Rebekka, Steffi, Barbara, Diana and Ninja, shares the teaching across the timetable.

Freiraum Norderstedt: questions and answers

What kind of yoga is taught at freiraum norderstedt?

Yoga is the core of the timetable, with most classes falling in the evening. Flow, Hatha, Slow Flow, Yin and Morning Yoga all run here, alongside Yogalates and fascia-focused sessions.

When do most classes take place?

Most classes start in the evening, with the busiest start times between 5:30pm and 7:15pm. A few sessions begin in the morning, the earliest at 10am, and the week's busiest days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Is it suitable for beginners?

Yes. Several classes are open to all levels, and others are for people taking their first class ever or for those with some experience. Gentler options such as Slow Flow, Yin and the back-focused classes are a good place to begin.

How long are the classes?

Most classes last 75 minutes. The Yoga gegen Stress session is longer, at 150 minutes, and is built for days when everything feels like too much.

Classes focused on the back, neck and shoulders are among the common offerings. Rücken Yoga runs weekly on Wednesday evenings at 7pm, and Abendentspannung works with the shoulders, neck, jaw and back.
