About Radiant Yoga

Radiant Yoga sits in El Dorado Hills, a short drive from Lake Tahoe, and its schedule leans toward the morning. Most of the classes are vinyasa and power yoga, with a steady run of strong, flowing sequences. Alongside them are gentler offerings such as yin, somatic movement and meditation, so the studio can suit a range of energy levels across the week.

It suits you if

  • you like strong, flowing vinyasa
  • you practice early in the morning

What the classes feel like

Vinyasa is the backbone of the timetable here, and power yoga is a close second. Many of the classes carry a clear energy, labeled strong or flow, so you can pick a session that matches how you feel that day. Power vinyasa flow is offered in a low heat version too, which keeps the same sequencing with a calmer room.

The quieter side of the schedule includes candlelight yin, breath, beats and yin, and somatic movement with breath and meditation. These are fewer in number but give you a clear alternative when the day calls for stillness and release rather than effort.

Fitting it into your week

Most classes begin in the morning, and a good share of the week starts before 9am. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday carry the most sessions, and evening classes at 6pm give a second window for those who cannot make it early. Classes run for about an hour, with a few longer basic vinyasa flow sessions.

For a first visit, a basic vinyasa flow class on a weekday morning is a steady place to start. Several facilitators lead it, so you can get used to a few different voices before choosing a regular teacher.

Radiant Yoga: questions and answers

What kinds of classes are offered at Radiant Yoga?

Most classes are yoga, and vinyasa is the style that leads, with power yoga and strong, flowing sequences taking up more than half of the schedule. There are also gentler options like yin, somatic movement and meditation sessions for those who want something slower.

When do most people practice at Radiant Yoga?

Most classes are in the morning, and more than half of the week starts before noon. The earliest start is 6am and the latest is 6pm, with 8:15am, 10am, 6am and 6pm among the busiest start times. Tuesday, Thursday and Monday are the days with the most classes.

Is Radiant Yoga good for beginners?

Yes. Basic vinyasa flow and a first class ever category are part of the schedule, so newcomers have options. Basic vinyasa flow runs for about 60 to 75 minutes, and many classes are built around a steady pace that a beginner can follow.

Who leads the classes at Radiant Yoga?

Radiant Yoga has a couple of dozen facilitators. Shanna Farnsworth, Natalie Martinez, Leslie Evans, Angeline Kang and Cassey Wagner are among those who lead the most classes.

How long are the classes?

Classes usually run for about an hour, with some longer basic vinyasa flow sessions of 75 minutes. Alongside the movement-based classes there are candlelight yin, breath and beats yin, and somatic sessions that combine movement, breath and meditation.
