What the studio offers

The studio is built around Pilates, and the reformer is the main tool. Alongside the standard classes there are Strong sessions with a focus on the core and pelvic floor, and a smaller group of gentler options for mobility, calm and back care. Classes such as Healthy Spine / Alignement & Mobilité and Réformez et revitalisez / Reform and energize show how the work moves between strength and ease.

The schedule starts early, with some classes from 6am, and runs into the evening, with the last start at 8:15pm. Mornings carry much of the week, and the most common start times are 10am, noon, 6pm and 7pm.

Where to start

Reformer Beginner and Reformer Tous Niveaux (Reformer All Levels) are the natural places to begin, and Essential Reformer offers a clear introduction to the equipment. Classes are typically about 55 minutes long. Facilitators including Keisha U., Pamela N., Adrienne B. and Sorina F. lead much of the schedule, so you will find a few familiar names as you move through the classes.

What kind of classes does KPilates Studio teach?

Most of the classes at KPilates Studio are Pilates, and more than half of them are on the reformer. Classes run about 55 minutes, and the Strong, Core and pelvic floor classes are common enough that they sit alongside the Reformer All Levels and Reformer Beginner options.

Is KPilates Studio good for beginners?

Yes. Reformer Beginner and Reformer Tous Niveaux (Reformer All Levels) are both on the schedule, and a handful of classes are marked for a first class ever. The studio also lists Essential Reformer, which is a good place to start if you are new to the equipment.

When do most people practice at KPilates Studio?

The studio offers classes from as early as 6am through to 8:15pm. Mornings are the busiest part of the week, with about half of classes starting before noon, and the most common start times are 10am, noon, 6pm and 7pm. Monday, Wednesday and Friday are the busiest days.

What languages are the classes taught in?

Many of the classes are in French and English, with names given in both, such as Tour + Reformer / Tower + Reformer and Healthy Spine / Alignement & Mobilité. Facilitators include Keisha U., Pamela N., Adrienne B. and Sorina F., among about ten facilitators in total.

How long are the classes, and are there any that combine practices?

Most classes run about 55 minutes. A small number of the studio's classes are mixed with other practices, including a few gong and bowl sessions and a Mindful Reformer Pilates and Sound Therapy class, which blends the reformer with sound.
