About Mandala Moon Yoga

mandala moon yoga offers a steady week of yoga in the Hudson Valley, with most of its classes in the morning and a smaller share in the evening. The 90 minute classes move between flow, multi-level and restorative styles, so the practice tends to suit people who want a predictable rhythm rather than a wide mix of disciplines.

It suits you if

  • you want morning practice
  • you prefer slower restorative yoga
  • you are new to yoga and want multi-level classes

How the week runs

The week leans toward the morning. Most classes start between 9:30am and 10am, and a fifth or so fall in the evening, with the latest start at 6pm. Thursday, friday and tuesday carry the most classes. Weekend sessions are few.

The classes run about 90 minutes. That length gives room for a warm up, a longer middle section and a settling close.

Styles and facilitators

Multi-level yoga is the core of the schedule, with sessions in the studio and in Marcellus. Restorative and yin yoga offer long holds and a quieter pace, and a morning magic and movement flow class moves the practice into a more active gear.

A handful of facilitators lead the classes. Dena Beratta, Veronica Llovera-Talucci, Patti Walker and Renee Goot teach the largest share, so their approach shapes most of what you will find on the mat.
