About 3 ZONE TRAINING

3 ZONE TRAINING is a strength and conditioning studio at Konrad-Zuse-Ring in Potsdam, close to Berlin. Its classes are built around functional movement, combining strength work with cardio and interval training. Most sessions run for about an hour, and the studio is a good fit for people who want a physical, structured workout rather than a slower yoga or meditation practice.

It suits you if

  • you want structured strength training
  • you train early in the morning or after work

Strength, cardio and interval classes

The studio's main offer is functional training. Strength and Cardio begins with exercises that build strength and then moves into endurance work, with a focus on speed and explosiveness. Power Zone is a dedicated strength session with static and dynamic work, while Endurance Zone uses longer workouts at a steady pace. Sunset Burn and Morning Burn are high intensity interval sessions that raise the heart rate and build muscular endurance.

The studio is also part of the ATHX training network, with structured standards for strength and endurance. Several classes, including Saturday Sweat and Sunday Sweat, combine cardio with functional exercises using moderate or lighter weights.

Shorter sessions and classes for young athletes

A few classes are shorter or designed for particular groups. Functional Zone Express is a 45 minute session with warm up and cool down, made for a lunch break. Junior Athletes for ages 6 to 9 and Young Athletes for ages 10 to 14 teach basic movement and technique in an age appropriate way.

The studio also offers some classes focused on joints and mobility, alongside its strength programming. Around ten facilitators lead the classes, and Omar, Alina, Ksenia, Ben, Tom and Anna teach the most.
